Voices for Nature Ltd
Voices for Nature Ltd is a green arts organisation set up as not-for-profit company, limited by guarantee (Company Number 9065628). It was founded in June 2014 by Sigrid Shreeve and Dr Anthony Coombs who are both directors. Voices for Nature uses literature, theatre and creative debate to engage people with sustainable development thinking.
Our vision is of a future world which is fair and sustainable, where all people feel connected with each other and Nature and act without exploitation. Our values are equality; diversity; inclusion; creativity; empowerment.
We are self-funding and support conservation projects, creative educational initiatives and young eco-creatives.
Sigrid Shreeve is the author of the novel Jabujicaba which she wrote as an engagement tool. She writes under the penname of Rosa da Silva. Her professional background is environmental policy and communications, change management, journalism and also merchant banking. She studied Modern & Medieval Languages at Cambridge University and is half German and half English. She speaks six languages and has lived and worked in many countries, including Brazil and the US.
Dr Anthony Coombs works with and invests in start-up companies. He is a trustee of the Roy Castle Lung Foundation, Chairman of the Board of Cut Films and a non-executive director of East Cheshire NHS trust. His professional background is in the global pharmaceuticals sector and he was the Chief Executive of Vifor Pharma, part of the Galenica Group.
Sigrid works full time for Voices for Nature and neither she nor Tony receive director’s fees or other remuneration from the company. We fund Voices for Nature’s activities philanthropically.
